It will be quite some time before we know the true economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and it’s sure to leave a mark. You don’t need to be an economist to know that the survival of small businesses is key to the health of our economy, and it’s heartening to see that people are making an effort to shop local when they can. We could sit back and mourn the likely loss of people’s livelihood, or we can make a real effort to patronize more places to help keep them afloat.

As small business owners ourselves, we know the fear and uncertainty that can come when business slows down and projections for the year are no longer reliable. While we are doing our part by ordering carryout meals from restaurants, we wanted to do more. Steve decided to use his social media as a platform to highlight local businesses and it has been great fun, and an encouragement to the business owners. Many of these places were new to us and we are excited to support them. Below is a list of the businesses he has interviewed and a little bit about them.
