A Place to Serve
Looking for a place to tangibly help your neighbors in need? Check out the Willston Multicultural Center Falls Church. I recently did a day of service there with other realtors in my office. Every year Keller Williams hosts RED Day, which stands for “Renew, Energize and Donate” as an annual day of service. On the second Thursday in May we serve in the communities where we work. Bettering the communities we serve lies at the heart of the Keller Williams culture. I am thankful to work for a brokerage that values service and pushes me to take time out of my busy schedule to get involved. This year I spent my time at the Willston Center and was so impressed I felt compelled to share!
We provided a large enough group to do manual labor for the day. We helped lay mulch for a large playground, cleaned classrooms, and other odd jobs. What I enjoyed most was talking to the people there and hearing about their passion for serving the community. There are so many volunteer opportunities available to help low-income families in the area at this center and they are happy to get help in many ways. Take a look at the video with Marly Gutierrez from the center to learn more!
Marly Gutierrez shares what the Willston Multicultural Center Falls Church is all about
We are lucky to live in an area with so many opportunities, but its always a good reminder that there are many who live here who’s income and resources are limited. We can all find ways to give back in small ways. Maybe the Willston Multicultural Center Falls Church is a place where you could do that. I know they’d appreciate the help! Give them a call at (703) 536-8943 to find out how you can get involved.
